How not to quote such a marvellous tune which made history. Stockholm was the nest of disco music and we should all agree on the fact that The Abba were the pioneers. The City during the 80s’ gave birth to a special music movement which flowed happily all around Europe and gifted young people the chance to dance a new rhythm. It is fascinating on how many music groups were formed during this decade. Just to name a few together with the Abba, Stockholm saw the birth of Europe, Roxette, The Wannadies, Ace of Base and many others. Not only music but design, fashion and art were spreading all around the city. Independent shops were flourishing, fashion designers and young people were constantly attending the city. Stockholm became one of the most influential centre in northern Europe, setting new trends and lifestyle.
