Collection: Peckham in London
A trendsetters, artists, makers and creatives collision with a strong Caribbean vibe.
Peckham is well known for its gritty urban vibe that has, as with most London neighbourhoods, been quietly transformed with secret rooftop bars, underground music, independent shops. A couple of decades ago, you’d be advised to scoot straight through Peckham on the 36 bus as there was so much crime. Fast-forward to a new century, and a fresh younger generation, priced out of more central areas, has made the place one of London’s coolest neighbourhoods with its thriving art scene. The car-park rooftop bar Frank’s, indie-store scene around Bellenden Road and chic cafes will ensure you won’t spend time in central London bars ever again. Highlights include Peckham Levels and its rooftop exhibition space, Kanpai sake brewery and Copeland Park & Bussey Building. Peckham has long been a base for artists and designers due to its proximity to Camberwell College of Arts and Goldsmiths, as well as its relatively cheap rents. And when they're not sipping Aperol Spritzes at Frank's, art enthusiasts hang out at the South London Gallery.
Art & drinks, one of world’s finest combo.
