Long before all the hipsters moved into the East LA neighbourhoods, making the area cool central, the original “King of Cool”, Steve McQueen, called this place home. McQueen seemed most at home sat astride a beautiful bike, riding down the infamous Mulholland Drive. This was a pastime he shared with fellow ‘70s icon Paul Newman “The most famous blue eyes in movie history”. Their effortlessly macho mannerisms and laconic style have been emulated by Hollywood’s male actors ever since, soaked in effortless cool, dangerous masculinity and edgy charisma that are coveted by men and embraced by women.
