A pioneer of Marseille’s skate culture, Akim Cherif grew up in Biver, near Gardanne, discovering freedom on a skateboard long before the city had parks built for it. He helped shape a generation for whom skating was more than sport. It was language, identity and attitude. Later, that same energy found a voice in music, through The Rabblers, his punk project born from the raw pulse of Marseille’s backstreets.
