This was a pastime he shared with fellow ‘70s icon Paul Newman “The most famous blue eyes in movie history”. Their effortlessly macho mannerisms and laconic style have been emulated by Hollywood’s male actors ever since, soaked in effortless cool, dangerous masculinity and edgy charisma that are coveted by men and embraced by women.
