Portofino’s ultimate beauty was portrayed in the classical favourite ‘50s “Love in Portofino” song, in fact many fell in love in this magical spot. Once a typical Ligurian fishing village it has morphed into a very exclusive yet discreet vacation escape destination. A kind of natural bowl which has become the world’s famous “Piazzetta”. The spot creates a serene atmosphere with a taste of bygone days and almost a film set quality and gives the guests the chance to see the Italian good life first hand. Though time moves on, only in Portofino it stands still, it is kind of suspended in another time, as if everything stopped in 1950 something.
